Premature Evaluation

I know I'm probably tempting the wrath of the poker gods........again,but here goes. Despite all attempts at donking my cash away its been a reasonable poker year, I'm not in the same league in terms of poker skill or limits that I play at compared to a lot of players but Ive had a reasonably profitable year. My poker tracker results for Cash are not as good as I thought they were, but they can only improve now that Im getting to grips with the info and stats, my tournament results are not too bad with some good cashes. So as we hurtle towards 2009 my poker goals will be: Fully understand Pokertracker Play more live Qualify for a major event.......oh and win it lmao be more profitable Learn more about this,the most annoying,frustrating oh and enjoyable awesome game that is poker.

WBCOOP satellite

Played in the blogger sat on stars which I noticed on No Cash's blog (many thanks) and qualified for the final,along with fellow Awoppers Teamdobbs and Gimac. Also played in the Bronze Awop VIP tourney,busted out when my 77 ran into 88......oh well,still its cracking value as its freeroll into a £300,£500 or £1000 live event through the AWOP VIP club in association with Virgin.

My head hurts

.........trying to get my head around the stats in Pokertracker 3!!!, don't get me wrong I think its a cracking tool and will help my cash game (god knows it needs it),and have used the trial versions of PT2 and PT3 so I should have a little idea of what I'm doing, it will be well worth the $89.99 when I fully get to grips with it and fully understand where my game needs tweaking to make me a more profitable player and plug some of the leaks in my game.

€100k final

well it looks like I'm never destined to win a big tourny...........had QQ run in to AA........which was nice,which crippled me to just over 1BB and the pushed it in with 45os against 66 flop A45,turn a Q and BINGO river an Ace.........BOOM. oh well,now have qualifying for the Virgin festival at Aspers (again) to look forward to.

Another bloody month!!!!

What I would like to know is where has this year gone!. Poker has been ok this year,Still got the €100k Final on Virgin to play and have managed to cash out a few quid,which is nice. City are still in Europe............but crap in the league,couldn't beat the rags but thats cos we were shite and it was only 1-0,but hey,on the plus side tranaldo got red carded hee hee.

Managed to play the 600 raked hands in 7days required to get into the €1ook freeroll sat,top 100 finishers move to the €100k final on 7th December with a total of 900 players in the final.Played relatively conservatively to finish 96th........was touch and go near the bubble but least I made it.

Month End

well,another month draws to a close. Not been a bad month all in all,back playing regular donk poker and managing to win a bit,done bugger all in the tournaments I've played but made up fo it on cash on the few main sites I play. started to seriously read harrington on cash again so hope this helps. main goals for November will be to play more cash,try and get in one of the Awop VIP sats and actually bloody win one. Oh and for City to string some bloody wins together.................hey ho

Sunday Football

No poker today,just footie,Set off from Sunny Blackpool on the 12:28 to Manchester Piccadily to that Mecca that is Middle eastlands, not a bad atmosphere but not as buzzing as usual..............still "we've got Robinho". Absolute quality game and a hatrick from the country's most expensive player (how weird is that in the same sentence as Manchester City)and it could have been more, though to be honest Stoke were not really at the game. Weather shite..........no surprise in Manchester then, and got piss wet through, still cracking result.

Poker Sabbatical

Seems ages since I updated this on-line ramble, and seeing that there seems to be a few more bloggers (and frankly a damn site more interesting) on A world of poker,I thought I would update it Well I sort of took a poker sabbatical, not played much just tho odd game here and there but am firmly back. I felt, for what ever reason that my confidence had gone and so my game would suffer, and it did.......not greatly but enough that I needed to stop and re group my thoughts. I'm currently back with the bottom feeders of .5c/10c cash tables, just trying to qualify for the 100k sat and the 25k freeroll, only 500 and 1500 raked hands needed!!!!.

€3k guaranteed

Played a few of these lately on Virgin,had just go knocked out early of the €6+60c mtt and thought would have another crack at this, played tightish early on and loosened in the later stages.......some of the play is quite poor even later on too. well I made the final table and played ok until i got 55, and to be honest got too attached to it,up against JJ......and ended up going out in 3rd for a cool €446.20.

Played a 3K guaranteed tourney on Virgin and managed to FT,ended up 5th for just shy of 200 euros,not bad for a 10euro buy in

Virgin Festival

An amazing 2 days of poker,my first major live event and what a buzz. Quite a daunting thing but thoroughly enjoyed it despite not finishing anywhere in the main event or the £30 terminator on Sunday

Well another post,and the poker gods seem to be smiling on me, I've made 4 final tables in the last 4 MTT that I've entered, so a good profit for not much outlay. The Newcastle Virgin Festival gets ever closer........and I cant wait.

Yippeeeee...........managed to qualify for the 2nd Virgin Festival at Aspers casino in Newcastle, Am really lookin forward to this as it's my first real major tournament

A New Year, and a new post........Poker doing ok with only the oddest of blips. cashing out more so makin some money back......not before time. been playing more on Virgin, usually the .12/.25c NL Level which seems to suit my play,and will move up when my bankroll determines it
